As a manufacturing engineer, you will be responsible to study the existing assembly line for a heavy equipment and create standard work documents for the assembly line, including tools & lifting devices required to perform the assembly. You will interact with operations and quality teams to identify defects and continuous improvement opportunities and to identify and resolve potential causes for failure.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Create & maintain standard work documents for assembly
- Time & motion study for operator and equipment
- Safe Job Procedure reviews & updates
- Improve overall efficiency of the assembly process using lean methods
- Root Cause & Corrective Action of quality defects
Education/Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing/Industrial/Mechanical engineering or engineering technology with 4+ years of work experience or Master’s degree with 3+ years of work experience in the heavy equipment or automotive assembly.
Required Skills:

- Understanding part prints & designs
- FMEA & Control plan creation
- Basic understanding of gauging & part inspection.
- Experience designing & implementing manufacturing processes
- Lean manufacturing experience
- Automation experience
- Strong safety & ergonomic understanding for manufacturing processes
